Secretive and does not take responsibility, Mar 30, 2008
Armstrong-Ringsted Jr. High School promises to keep the parents informed and then does not follow through. We had a new website set up to help communicate to the parents and students. Half the time the grades are not in the system when you try to find out why you are told by the teachers that there are problems with the system. Yet the principal or dean states there is no problem and when you ask questions about its continuing problems you get ignored or told that they will look into it with no feedback. Parents get tired of trying to get answers to get this system to work and to continue to get the same excuses. They finally give up which apparently makes the school happy. The teachers are suppose to update their grades every week but some grades don't show for over a month. The money spent on this was a waste as usual and there is no one who will take the responsibility on for this from the school.

Teachers too engrossed in small town gossip, Mar 30, 2008
We came new to the area, sometime ago, at first you think the Armstrong-Ringstead Jr. High School is a good place..until all the gossip and drama start with the teachers and school employees supporting it and behind it. A very small town atmosphere in the school with only the latest gossip, not the future of the students in mind. All the employees could use some instruction in self esteem. The secretary acts nice to the students and then gossips about them behind their back. The superintendents secretary or business manager cuts down students all the time with negative remarks and then takes money from fund raising events to make her records look good. It is a nasty school with most of the teachers and definitely the office personal with the exception of Ginger...mean spirited...treating the students with disrespect and a very unhealthy, humiliating surrounding.
