Chesapeake Science Point Middle School is a great school, Sep 27, 2008 |
| Want a beautiful athletic field? a pool? a gym with hardwood floor? a price tag of $20,000 and up? Go elsewhere! If you want impressive math, science, and social studies teachers, English classes with lots of writing and SAT vocabulary, Spanish, cutting edge computer classes (C++ and mathematics), winning math teams and nationally ranked science fair competitors all in a safe, caring atmosphere and uniforms... look no further!!! I can't say enough great things about this high performing school where every child has the opportunity to succeed. It has improved exponentially each year in its relations with the county school board and its long waiting list speaks for itself. |

Beg to differ, Aug 24, 2008 |
| My daughter attends Chesapeake Science Point Middle School after being bullied and terrified at the middle school she was attending. You don't have a clue to the fights, threats, gang involvement that is present in Anne Arundel County Schools. Why do you think so many AACPS employees are sending or on a waiting list to send their children to this school. And if all of what you say is true, then why does this school have so much parent support and better grades than 99% of other Anne Arundel County Schools. Did your child go here, or are you one of those that only choose to believe what they hear. Hey the proofs in the grades, better MSA and HSA scores including many 6th graders that have taken and passed physics tests and the HSA test. And why are there people calling, submitting applications years in advance? Think about it..... |

Small charter school that really needs closing..., Mar 19, 2008 |
| Chesapeake Science Point Middle School is a renowned charter school that sits in a business development across from a distribution center. It has garnered some favorable press due to its high science and math scores and small class rooms. The parents and administrative staff are strong supporters of the school and its activities. That being said, the school has a very difficult history. There have been several major investigations that included the arrest of one principle for financial fraud, removal of staff members, employee disputes due to discriminatory practices, and unruly student behavior. Presently the school has become the focus of several news stories that have detailed the lack of security or safety at CSP. |
