Too Bad, So Very Sad, May 06, 2010 |
| I FEEL THAT Northside Urban Pathways High School SHOULD FIND TEACHERS WHO CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD'S EDUCATION. I FEEL THAT MANY TEACHERS DESERVE MORE MONEY BECAUSE TEACHING IS NO EASY TASK. However,some teachers like Mrs. Hommage the english instructor (9th grade) likes to bombard our children with homework (anyone can assign a load of work) but she is not capable of teaching students who may not understand any part of her coursework, maybe she is too busy? I don't know how some teachers can sleep at night. If 90% of your students are failing, the problem is you not them. We send our children to you in trust that as your job to educate them, why does Northside tend to point at the parent, if they are incapable of doing their job? Many single parents with more than one school age child have to work, and make a living. Many of us are struggling and for teachers at Northside not to respect that, and the fact that if I (parent) wanted to teach my child, I would have home schooled all my children. What good are teaching degrees? Fact is many teachers do not want to teach, they just want a paycheck. At Northside, if you're smart, you shine they polish you up, and set you up front like a statue for all to see, but if you got an IEP your left behind to struggle, with no one to care because you can't make them shine. |
