    The torch is about to be passed. For five years, Freddy and Charlotte Hamlet have coordinated Fort Morgan’s community Thanksgiving dinner. They are about to retire from that job and hand it over to Amy Spicer, who was highly visible as about 60 volunteers fed about 300 people Thursday.

    Hundreds of kids around the Grand Valley now have much needed winter coats thanks to Project Hope. The coat giveaway was held in front of Columbine Elementary school, and there were aslo three other places in the Grand Valley where kids were able to pick up jackets.
