In response to setting up students for failure. May I say that Algebra is a very simple requirement and not enough in the world that our children need to compete in. Geometry is necessary, it implies logic as well as applying simple mathematical basics. Geometry is a necessary tool in most basics jobs as well as a stepping stone to higher level math requirements for college bound students.

Los Osos High School is a great, well-rounded school in a highly upstanding area. It has an award winning music program and an equally great sports program. It is ranked among the top two percent of schools in the nation, including private schools. All around, Los Osos high school is a very good school. P.S. the Los Osos High School math requirements are just slightly higher than any others. Most other schools require geometry, as well as two algebra courses.

I feel that your math requiremnets are too much for some high school students. Other schools do not require geometry, just two years of algebra A and B. Why are you setting up some of your students for failure?
