    BELLINGHAM — Students considering a law career can attend a conference Saturday to learn more about the field and talk with lawyers. The conference is 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Commons at Kulshan Middle School, 1250 Kenoyer Drive.

    The Rhodes Scholarship is an international award for all-expenses paid study at Oxford University in England. The scholarships were started in 1902 after the death of Cecil Rhodes, founder of De Beers diamond company and colonizer of Rhodesia (now Zambia and Zimbabwe).
