Poor review, Sep 11, 2006 |
| This is a poor example of a school. I find the policies implemented are in desperate need of change. A principal who is more interested in keeping his job than doing it. Staff seemingly misplaced in such a way that their duties seem invisible leaving them free to wander halls and have coffee and assist in conversating at all hours of the day. The Parents Action counsel seems to lead the school. The staff lacks commitment barring a few fine teachers. Personal agendas are in abundance. This does not seem to benefit the students. The basic educational lessons are taught. There seems to be many complaints by staff as to lack of time to teach a lesson, between the demands of the current rate of curriculum tossed at them as well as the disruptive students allowed to partake in a normal class seems to hinder the teachers from teaching. There is no extra help being offered this year. The previous year there seemed to be a lack of yearly planning hence the late start and the late into summer finish. There will be no offer of extra help after school this year. The buses will be leaving all the same time leaving no time for homework club. This is due to the lack of funding for the buses and yet they managed to purchase 2 new buses. Having to fill out a survey concerning a business in order to expand the schools students head count from the coast. My kids are learning here but just about the politics who has money who does not and who can get more for less every day. But don't worry not one teacher is complaining about the early release of students on EVERY Friday through the school year. P.S. This school has had several hushed problems over the years and I have personally questioned all of them. Each time I an told to mind my own buisness and keep my mouth shut. Funny this no child left behind program. Our school asks more of the parents and gives less education every year. I am currently looking for a new school. My children deserve better. So does everyone elses the only problem is how do you get those with power to change it to listen when they are too busy keeping thier jobs by not rocking the boat passing the kids on instead of doing thier jobs? |
