News for Hillcrest Elementary (in Washington):

  • Seems like yesterday (Everett Herald) (Thu, 22 Nov 2007 13:35:28 GMT)
Sen. Henry M. "Scoop" Jackson had an opportunity to reminisce with some of his elementary teachers when he spoke at the dedication of Longfellow Elementary School's new multi-purpose room.

  • Loss of Sonics would be a loss for kids (Everett Herald) (Wed, 14 Nov 2007 16:50:46 GMT)
At the Sonics game Sunday, we saw a girl holding a sign over her head. "You'll miss fans like this," it said. Yes, you read correctly -- I did say "at the Sonics game Sunday," as though rubbing shoulders with NBA fans at Seattle's KeyArena is for me as commonplace as going to the grocery store.

  • Costs mount to maintain stadium (Whidbey News-Times) (Sat, 10 Nov 2007 01:25:31 GMT)
Victories aren’t the only thing piling up at Wildcat Memorial Stadium this fall. With record crowds attending football games and outside groups using the stadium, school officials are trying to figure out how to pay for the costs associated with the additional use.
