    A slow election picked up Monday when the Clark County Department of Elections received 8,133 ballots in the mail, by far the most of any day since ballots were mailed in mid-October.

    Ballots aren't exactly pouring into Clark County elections before Tuesday's deadline to vote. Another 3,697 ballots arrived in Friday's mail, bringing the number of returned ballots to 42,177, or 22.3 percent of the 188,743 ballots mailed in mid-October.
