| Okay, so I'm the principal! But, I just want to brag on the students, faculty and community in Jackson. We had the best Georgia High School Graduation Test results and EOCT scores in school history this (2005) spring! We're looking forward to seeing how our ranking is impacted by this performance...want numbers? 95% passed LA, 95% passed writing, 93% passed math, 81% passed social studies and 67% passed science. We're working hard to get performance in social studies and science up to where we want it...our arts program is "up and coming," with outstanding visual arts, a great marching/performing band, and a choral/musical theatre department that has done two great musicals these last couple of years after a lengthy absence. Our athletics program is exceptional...in 2003-04 we won region championships in 7 of the 14 sports we participated in as region sports; this year we won an additional 3, with competitive finishes in the remainder...we're becoming a great place to learn! |
