WONDERFUL SCHOOL!, Jul 18, 2008 |
| My son attending Tinicum Elementary School from kindergarten to 5th grade. My son entered this school as a special needs child diagnosed with PDD (pervasive developmental disorder). The staff guided me in every direction that we needed to get the help that he needed. From special education, student services to medical benefits. My son developed Tourrettes syndrome in 2nd grade, and the staff was so understanding and helpful. Mrs. Brown, the school councilor was awesome and always there to help him. All of the teachers went out of their way to help him grow his self esteem. Mrs. Weisel was a one of a kind Principle, and was sadly missed when she retired. Just when I thought that things couldn't be better, Mr. Davis proceeded her. All of the kids, including my son, adored this new young principle! My son was very sad to have to leave the year after. I thank God for the teachers that my son had while attending this school. They are truly the BEST! |
