This school is a sinking ship get off as soon as you can., Dec 21, 2007 |
| I am so happy that I finally made the move that many other parents before me have made and took my child out of this district. Only by comparison did I realize how lacking the Akron-Fairgrove High School is in their curriculum and attitude as a whole. Their graduates are sent out in the world with minimal guidance or preparation to succeed. In addition to to the steady decline of students, the school also struggles to maintain the teachers that they have losing multiple teachers a year who have been waiting for something better to come along. Some of the school's harshest critics are their own employees who make it well known of the corruption that goes on. The prospect of this school closing, though sad to many in the town, is a hopeful one because it offers the opportunity that the discarded students finally receive the education that they deserve at a surrounding school. |
