The Downriver Recreation Commission is looking for more participants for its cooking classes with Jeff Heinzman, a member of the World Class Chef Association and president of the Macomb County Chef Association. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays.

The Donwriver Recreation Commission is offering flute lessons once a week. The half-hour lessons will be between 3 and 6 p.m. Mondays at Algonquin Middle School, 9185 Marsh Road. The cost is $15 per half-hour lesson. Payments must be made in advance, by the month. The instructor is Tobi Couture.
