    Laura Baden has been making quite a name for herself in Indiana. Baden, a 2006 graduate of Almont high school and former BWAC volleyball standout, is now playing volleyball for Anderson University in Anderson, Ind.

    The village of Almont will help kick off the holiday season with a parade in the downtown area Dec. 1. The 10th annual Holly Days Light Parade will start at 7 p.m. and march on Centennial Street south to Stone Street.

    Savannah St. Pierre said she had no problem playing the evil stepmother in "Cinderella." The North Branch High School freshman will play her part in the Rogers and Hammerstein production of the fairy tale "Cinderella" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 15-17.
