    EAST LIVERPOOL - A group dedicated to community service and helping others had its own reason to celebrate. The Quota Club of East Liverpool had a 60th birthday party. With 56 members and guests in attendance, the groups gathered at the East Liverpool Country Club to not only reminisce, but also to look forward to future projects.

    EAST LIVERPOOL - Two items were on the agenda for a special meeting of the East Liverpool Board of Education Wednesday night. The board only passed one of them. After tempers grew and after two unsuccessful attempts to pass one item, the meeting ended with several board members getting out of their seats and saying the meeting was over.

    EAST LIVERPOOL - Construction costs for the rebirth of East Liverpool High School came in at approximately $2 million under projections, much to the delight of school officials. "We were very, very fortunate," school board President Gary Bonnell said. "It was a good market to be in right now.
