Former Student at Glades Central High School, Oct 03, 2008 |
| This is very touching. I too am a graduate of Glades Central High School in 1997. I took Mr. Danilievit class for Economics. He made learning very fun! I learned that teachers like Mrs. Granville was released from GC as well. She is the reason I know how to type today. There passion for teaching, and genuine care for their students could never be called into question. I don't know all the details of what's going on at Glades Central now, but true pioneers should be given the opportunity to walk away gracefully. Otis Duhart |

Glades Central High School is NO LONGER, Jul 31, 2008 |
| I graduated from GCHS in '72' and taught there 31 years. The school as most know is "gone". Of course it is there physically, but the local, home town atmosphere began to disappear in 2002 and now it is just a building. Gone are local teachers who enjoyed teaching local kids. Gone is the family atmosphere. The district doesn't give a hoot or a holler about the Glades. They bring administrators from WPB who have this attitude that they are going to fix up things for "you people". Sincerely, Leo PS: Mr. and Mrs. Bennett are the only ones remaining from the grand ol' days. |
