Jim Jaxon at Stanton College Prep. High School is the best, Jul 04, 2008 |
| I haven't attended this school, nor have my children, but I'm not surprised that it's ranked so highly given that Jim Jaxon heads it. I attended Terry Parker High School in the 70's, when Jim Jaxon was my calculus teacher, and I credit him for much of my success. He had a high standard for his students yet made calculus fun for everyone. More importantly I considered him a mentor, who gave me access to a small computer lab he set up with a Radio Shack TRS80. Because of this, I chose Computer Engineering as my field of study, and although I never actually designed computers, I have been connected to technology all my life. I credit Jim for all my success and would send my kids to any school that he headed. |
