From a Students Point of View at Barbara Goleman High School, Jan 06, 2008 |
| The Staff is more than just a Staff. Whether it's being a Teacher, Assistant Principal, Janitor, Security Guard or Head Chef in the Schools Cafeteria, The staff members work together like Family. Together, they strive to place the students into a better environment and a successful future. Even something so simple as to picking up your tray from the cafeteria and dumping it out when your done. As silly as it sounds, this helps students be even less messier and have some responsibility and respect for fellow classmates when eating. This school is a school with many opportunities and different clubs that give the students a feel for real art or just being on a team. For example, Amongst the Drama club, students are taught leadership and respect and how to carry themselves with Dignity and Confidence. We learn many more concepts and morals than just plain acting. Being on a Goleman sports team or Dance Team allows students to be healthy and go for the "A" 's in their classes. In my opinion, with all the Clubs and Sports programs, Students find better things to do with their time rather than joining gangs and vandalizing the city. Inside the classes themselves are instructors waiting to teach their students any aspect. In many cases, two classes tie in together like Math and Science, American History and English III. So it's an even bigger help when the teachers can work together or have the time to sit out an help explain the unknown of the subject. |
