| Fort Lauderdale High School was ranked in the Top 500 Public High Schools by US News & World Report. It has been ranked a Top High School by Newsweek for the past three school years. FLHS offers 34 college level classes designated as AP (Advanced Placement) or AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education). It has two magnet programs Pre-Law and Public Affairs and the International Diploma Cambridge AICE Program. The school is being completely rebuilt and renovated and is in the final building phase. It has recently opened the only two story cafeteria in Broward County. Fort Lauderdale High is the first high school opened in Broward County and will celebrate its centennial in 2015. |
