This school has shown complete incompetence. than address a problem as a professional in the field of education, the principal will not take responsibility even when the staff has made bad choices. This school has had a bad track record until recently, when Florida lowered it's standards on the FCAT. Parents should pay close attention to the details like test scores and school work. This school concentrates only on successful and gifted students, not students who require support. Beware! They may not address your child's weakness as it would require support and special ed. services. You will learn this very early as you approach them with your concerns and they will show great resistance. You will hear no (we don't do that here). Know your rights before you even approach them. I watched a John Stocill special on 2020. He said most parents think their childs' school is doing a good job only because they don't know any better. Pay attention to the details and request to review all tests and their class room portfolios. My child's portfolio had nothing in it!!!

Calusa is not completely accurate or honest. I have 2 children attending Calusa and they never had less than 23 students in a class. We parents remember how many valentine cards we purchased.

This school has a problem with teacher turnovers every fall. There has been many communication problems between my child's teacher, and staff. His first year records were lost and they had no idea that he was disabled. I could go on.... If your child needs instructional support or has even the smallest concern I would advise you find a school that's more attentive. I have been lied to and deceived by the administration and teacher. Yes I am bitter.... My child is a whole year behind because of their negligence.
