    A gifted studies teacher from Bay-Waveland Middle School was named the 2007 U.S. Senator Thad Cochran Economics Teacher of the Year. Pamela Carrubba wins $1,000 and an all expense paid trip to the annual meeting of the National Council on Economic Education held at the Beau Rivage.
