SNVTC - BEFORE THE NAME CHANGE, May 19, 2008 |
| I attended SNVTC from 1997-2001 and I have to say, that in that time, SNVTC was the school to go to. Many applied, but only a few got accepted. I'm not sure if it is academically the way they chose who attended, but I can tell you that all the students there were all pretty intelligent people. No one flunked; yeah we had a few bad apples, but who doesn't. Overall we all graduated. Not to mention, we had 23 valedictorians! That's the most I ever heard. Not because I attended this school or nothing, but I really feel that a student who attends this school is a step above the rest. The Staff was and I'm sure still is AWESOME. The only down fall to SNVTC, is that it separates you from your friends growing up that you attended Junior High with. For some students it's really hard to cope with the "making new friends" aspect of attending this school, but for others it's not even an issue. Just depends on the kid. I recommend Southern Nevada Vocational Technical Center for mentally strong young-adults who have a plan and are on schedule with their goals, or at least have an idea to what they want to do in the future. SNVTC is most known for its Vocational Programs, as it should be. The Vocations they provide are great! From Graphic Design, Computer Animations, Health Occupations and the most popular Cosmetology.
