    VOLLEYBALL: The 2007 volleyball season was concluded on Thursday for the Westminster Griffins. Westminster defeated SUNY-Canton 30-14, 30-17, 30-13 to finish play at the NAIA National Championship with a 1-2 record.

    Millcreek High School held its awards assembly honoring those students who are achieving and working toward their future in a productive, positive manner. This month the student of the month award went to Kayleen Tohonnie. Also recognized was Natalie Navarrette, who was the most improved student.

    Dixie just completed Red Ribbon Week. During the week students wore red wrist bands as a reminder of their pledge to stay drug free. There was also a very real re-enactment of a wreck caused by a drunken driver. Police and ambulance services all took part in the event.
