| Our principal's strength is tapping into his employees' passions and letting them create programs around those passions to benefit the students. For example, the math coach started a gymnastics program, Boys Club, and takes the students to UCLA sporting events on the weekend. She has incorporated her training in the Hands-On Algebra Program to help teach the GATE students High School algebra. This all happened because the principal highly encourages teachers to develop other programs at the school with his full support and resources. Teachers feel highly valued and motivated to do these extra activities without always having to be paid. More principals should follow his style of leadership. |
