News for Marvin Elementary (in Texas):

  • ‘Parking tickets’ (Waxahachie Daily Light) (Wed, 14 Nov 2007 23:25:13 GMT)
I’m confused. Monday’s editorial talks about how truly messy it is to drive in ‘Hatchie these days; about drivers abruptly shifting lanes, speeders, tailgaters, red light runners, general congestion. So true, says I. Ol’ Neal hit the nail on the head, meself thinks.

  • School names approved (Waxahachie Daily Light) (Tue, 13 Nov 2007 21:54:22 GMT)
Waxahachie ISD board members approved names for five buildings during its meeting Monday night. The honorees include former educators Margaret L. Felty, Eddie Finley Sr., Robbie E. Howard and Ron Appleton, along with former board member Oliver E. Clift.

  • Alumni give back to Marvin (Waxahachie Daily Light) (Fri, 02 Nov 2007 19:24:42 GMT)
Anyone driving past Marvin Elementary will notice a change in the front lawn as a number of trees have been added to the landscape. What was once plain and somewhat barren has now been replaced with magnolia trees, crepe myrtles and live oaks - complete with an underground sprinkler system.
