    Stuttgart High School graduate in 2007 and standout wide receiver for the Ricebirds for three years Nico Hobbs has completed his freshman football season at Ouachita Baptist University (OBU). Hobbs earned a starting job on special teams for the OBU Tigers with three games to go in the season and some of duties include returning kickoffs.

    Onteaka Crayton-Scott, a 1983 graduate of Stuttgart High School and award winning writer, has another published novel, With Love as Our Guide, as a sequel to her 2002 debut novel, DeAlmonie Madigan and is preparing to have a book signing this weekend.
