| My daughters are both in the first grade here at Lorain academy of arts and sciences. This school was such a blessing to me while moving back to Lorain. The public schools in Lorain, I feel, are over crowded. Therefore, my children would not get as much attention in areas as needed, and many problems that students are having go unnoticed because there are so many to look after. I would like to take this time to applaude Mrs. O and Mr. Sinclair with such a job well done with the first graders this year. They go above and beyond any expectations I ever imagined!! This school is all around A++!! Also, I have another daughter in the 4th grade. Before coming to this school, she literally had receive nearly straight F's from 1st to 3rd and none of the schools could ever tell me what exactly was the problem, if there was a problem, or why my daughter was being passed from grade to grade without more assesments Upon arriving to Lorain Academy of Arts and Sciences, I noticed that the teachers were very well qualified, and they also took the time to answer any questions I had, and even let me help be apart of my childrens education! My 4th grader went from straight F's to just missing making merit roll in the very first quarter! Thank you Mrs. Kopp!! My children love going to school here!! If considering a charter school as an alternative for public schools, please take the time to stop in and see what kinds of new things the children are learning and all the fun projects they've created! Job well done Academy of Arts and Sciences!! |
