The relay, with had the theme "Carnival for a Cure," encouraged each team camp site to have carnival games and decorations, said Jenny Doty, co-chairwoman of the relay. About 15 teams, with more than 300 participants, raised about $20,000 during Saturday's event.

    Most power outages caused by the weekend storms have been repaired, officials said Monday. Allegheny Energy spokesman Mark Nitowski said about 1,100 customers in Elizabeth were left without power by weekend storms, primarily because of downed lines. Several hundred other scattered customers in the Parkersburg area affected, he said.
