Laurens District 55 has enriched, inspired, and developed a 4a rating due to its past, present and future staff. The LAURENS Raiders will always be the best among the state due to its devoted staff and faculty! sincerely Timothy Taylor.

    A Clinton man died Tuesday following a boating accident on Lake Greenwood. According to Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols, Don Brewington, 69, died just before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

    Two Ware Shoals-area people have been arrested and charged with trafficking crack and possessing prescription pills, part of an ongoing Laurens County Sheriffs Office investigation.

    The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office arrested Paul David Shockley, 44, of 101 Circle Drive in Gray Court. Shockley is charged with second degree arson. Investigators say Shockley set fire to a mobile home he owned on Chantilly Drive in Gray Court by setting the curtains on fire.
