    More than 30 area bridges are among the 411 to be rehabilitated, preserved or rebuilt, thanks to a $350 million bond issue approved as part of the new state budget. Gov. Ed Rendell signed the legislation Monday. In all, 35 bridges in area counties are involved, including six in Lycoming, 10 in Tioga, six in Clinton, seven in Bradford, two in Sullivan County, one in Union and three in Potter.

    The Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority entered a final settlement agreement Wednesday night with PSI Pumping Solutions of York Springs to deal with the company's failure to meet a deadline for completion of a part of the Halls Station water project. A wellhouse was to have been finished by PSI by Oct. 15, executive director Christine Maggi-Weigle said. It was completed Feb. 6.
