THE BELMONT County Board of Elections will have a presence at the 2008 county fair, and it also will purchase blue envelopes to help keep paper ballots secret. Both actions will come with a price tag, members revealed at their Monday morning meeting. The cost for 3,500 envelopes - measuring 12 inches by 15.

During a meeting hosted by the Belmont County Commissioners Friday afternoon, the state legislatures and county government representatives discussed the possibilities of the development of a Veteran's home within the county.
