    Richard Walling, the former head of the Friends of Monmouth Battlefield, has again been jailed on charges he violated probation related to a 2005 third-degree theft charge. Walling, formerly of East Brunswick, was brought to the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center, North Brunswick, on July 7.

    EAST BRUNSWICK — The Middlesex County Fair kicks off Monday and runs through Aug. 10 at the county fairgrounds on Cranbury Road. Daily entertainment will feature Robinson's Racing Pigs, Barnyard Express, The Magic of Virgil, Hilby, the Skinny German Juggle Boy, the Great American Frontier Show, A.C.W.A. wrestling and the Party Exchange music show.

    Slightly more New Jerseyans are using seat belts. The state Division of Highway Traffic Safety says May's "Click It or Ticket" survey found 91.75 percent of drivers using their seat belt. That's up from 91.36 percent last year. The survey found the largest increases in seat belt usage in Monmouth and Camden counties, which saw increases of 5.2 and 4.1 percent respectively.     L arry Burnett has come a long way in the world of sports since graduating from East Brunswick High School in Middlesex County in 1970. The one-time high school athlete became an Emmy-winning sportscaster, working all over the country for various networks, including ESPN in its early days. These days, he is the play-by-play announcer for the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks.

    The Holistic Moms Network, Middlesex County chapter, will host its monthly meeting 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the Metuchen Library, 480 Middlesex Ave (Route 27).
