    Lincoln residents and businesses may one day see snowmobile traffic through the village if a proposed snowmobile trail comes to fruition. The Lincoln Downtown Development Authority has been in the process of trying to get a snowmobile trail formed to connect Lincoln to Barton City.

    A Montmorency County commissioner has been arrested for alleged embezzlement. Paul Wingate was arrested earlier this week on a charge of embezzlement by public official over $50. He was taken into custody on Tuesday, but attended Wednesday's county commissioners meeting. Alcona County Prosecutor Thomas Weichel has been assigned as special prosecutor for the case.
