    A Montmorency County commissioner has been arrested for alleged embezzlement. Paul Wingate was arrested earlier this week on a charge of embezzlement by public official over $50. He was taken into custody on Tuesday, but attended Wednesday's county commissioners meeting. Alcona County Prosecutor Thomas Weichel has been assigned as special prosecutor for the case.
