Pittsfield Public Schools, Mar 07, 2008
They are under many lawsuits. There is great violence. The administration is poor. It hires within and promotes those poorly trained by others in the system, that should have been let go long ago. Intimidation and retaliation practices have been publicized. They have a weak teacher's union. It is actually a side show of cover ups. I agree with the person above. I read article after article in the papers, from the scandals that come out.

Pittsfield Public Schools, Sep 25, 2007
The Pittsfield Public Schools are riddled with scandal and cover ups. The DOE reports double the in-house and out of school suspensions than the state average. The teachers union is poor and weak. Two outside principals have quit before contractual obligations had been fulfilled.
