    LAKIN -- Wilma "Toots" Davis, 93, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin. She was born Nov. 20, 1913, in the flats of northwest Kearny County, to Thomas and Bessie Mohr Williams, and grew up on her parent's homestead in Kearny County.

    LAKIN -- Lila Grace Thornburg, 90, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at Kearny County Hospital in Lakin. She was born Nov. 20, 1916, at Covert in Osborne County, the second child of Frank and Ada Metzger. Two years later, the family moved to Osborne.
