    On Dec. 30, 2000, a tanker truck owned by Advanced Fuel Filtration Systems (AFFS) overturned on highway 182, spilling approximately 3,600 gallons of #6 fuel oil and impacting at least 15 miles of the East Walker River in both Mono County, Calif., and Lyon County, Nev. Approximately half the load spilled into the river due to the high speed of the crash.
