Notes:
- Starting in 2005, the rankings are based on the Performance Index (PI).
The PI ranges from 0 to 120. It is a weighted average of all tested subjects in all
grades in each school. The weights are 1.2 for Advanced, 1.1 for Accelerated, 1.0 for Proficient,
0.6 for Basic, 0.3 for Below Basic, and 0.0 for Untested. For example, if a schools has
20% of their scores at the Advanced level, 25% at the Accelerated level, 30% at the Proficient
level, 15% at the Basic level, 8% at the Below Basic level, and 2% Untested, that school Performance
Index would be PI=1.2*(20)+1.1*(25)+1.0*(30)+0.6*(15)+0.3*(8)+0.0*(2)=92.9. A perfect score of 120 implies
that every student scored at the Advanced level in every tested subject.
- Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do
not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.
- County scores are calculated from the average scores of schools
in the county. This may not represent the true test results for the counties
since student population varies from school to school.
