Nebraska School Rankings
Nebraska Public K-12 School Rankings
are based on data from the
State of the Schools Report
provided by
Nebraska Department of Education.
There are two sets of rankings:

Standard Rankings:
- Elementary Schools:
Percentages of students in 4th Grade at the Advanced Level in Reading and Math.
- Middle Schools:
Percentages of students in 8th Grade at the Advanced Level in Reading and Math.
- High Schools:
Percentages of students in 11th Grade at the Advanced Level in Reading and Math.
You have the option of (i) Ranking all schools in the State
of Nebraska (choose "All Counties" in the toolbar to the left),
(ii) Comparing individual Counties (choose "County Vs. County"), and
(iii) Comparing all schools in a given County (choose, for example,
"Douglas" County).
To view FREE public school rankings from a prior year, simply
click on the "Rank" button on the toolbar to the left. The
most recent rankings are available for subscribers only.

Customized Rankings (Subscribers Only)
are based on the following:
- Elementary Schools:
Can choose either Reading, Math, or both.
Can choose either the Advanced or Proficient Levels.
- Middle Schools:
Can choose either Reading, Math, or both.
Can choose either the Advanced or Proficient Levels.
- High Schools:
Can choose either Reading, Math, or both.
Can choose either the Advanced or Proficient Levels.
With the Customized Ranking, you can choose any or all of the Counties.

Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do
not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.

Schools with fewer than 10 students are not included.

Grade level distributions are not consistent throughout Nebraska. For example, sixth
graders are in Elementary Schools in some areas; but in other areas, they are in Middle
Schools. This site classifies Elementary Schools as those with 4th
graders; Middle Schools as those with 8thgraders; and High Schools as
those with 11th graders. As such, some schools may be classified in more than one category.

County scores are calculated from the average scores of schools in the county. This may
not represent the true test results for the counties since student population varies from school to school.

Some school districts use more rigorous testing standards than the state.
