Louisiana School Rankings

Louisiana Public K-12 School Rankings are based on the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program for the 21st Century (LEAP 21) and the Graduation Exit Examination for the 21st Century (GEE 21) provided by Louisiana Department of Education. There are two sets of rankings:

  • Standard Rankings:

      Kids
    • Elementary Schools: The percentages of fourth graders who are at the Mastery or Advanced Levels on the Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies tests. Results are from the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program for the 21st Century (LEAP 21).
    • Middle Schools: The percentages of eighth graders who are at the Mastery or Advanced Levels on the Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies tests. Results are from the Louisiana Educational Assessment Program for the 21st Century (LEAP 21).
    • High Schools: The percentages of tenth graders who are at the Mastery or Advanced Levels on the Language Arts and Mathematics tests and the percentages of eleventh graders who are at the Mastery or Advanced Levels on the Science and Social Studies tests. Results are from the Graduation Exit Examination for the 21st Century (GEE 21).

    You have the option of (i) Ranking all schools in the State of Louisiana (choose "All Parishes" in the toolbar to the left), (ii) Comparing individual parishes (choose "Parish Vs. Parish"), and (iii) Comparing all schools in a given parish (choose, for example, "Orleans" parish). To view FREE public school rankings from a prior year, simply click on the "Rank" button on the toolbar to the left. The most recent rankings are available for subscribers only. Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term). Sign up here.


  • Customized Rankings (Subscribers Only) are based on the following:

      Learning
    • Elementary Schools: Can choose any or all of the following: 4th grade Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Can choose between Advanced Level, Mastery Level (and above), or Basic Level (and above).
    • Middle Schools: Can choose any or all of the following: 8th grade Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Can choose between Advanced Level, Mastery Level (and above), or Basic Level (and above).
    • High Schools: Can choose any or all of the following: 10th grade Language Arts and Mathematics; 11th grade Science and Social Studies. Can choose between Advanced Level, Mastery Level (and above), or Basic Level (and above).

    With the Customized Ranking, you can choose any or all parishes. Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term). Sign up here.

Notes:
  • Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.
  • Results include only the initial testers; results for retesters are not included (except as noted below).
  • For 2002 Elementary and Middle School scores, the results include both initial testers and retesters.
