Kansas School Rankings
Kansas Public K-12 School Rankings
are based on data from the
Kansas Report Card
provided by
Kansas State Department of Education.
There are two sets of rankings:

Standard Rankings:
- Elementary Schools:
Percentages of students at the Exemplary level in Grade 4 Math and Grade 5 Reading.
- Middle Schools:
Percentages of students at the Exemplary level in Grade 7 Math and Grade 8 Reading.
- High Schools:
Percentages of students at the Exemplary level in Grade 10 Math and Grade 11 Reading.
You have the option of (i) Ranking all schools in the State
of Kansas (choose "All Counties" in the toolbar to the left),
(ii) Comparing individual Counties (choose "County Vs. County"), and
(iii) Comparing all schools in a given County (choose, for example,
"Johnson" County).
To view FREE public school rankings from a prior year, simply
click on the "Rank" button on the toolbar to the left. The
most recent rankings are available for subscribers only.
Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term).

Customized Rankings (Subscribers Only)
are based on the following:
- Elementary Schools:
Can choose any or all of the followings: "Exemplary", "Advanced", or "Proficient" levels;
Grade 4 Math, Grade 5 Reading, and/or Grade 4 Science.
- Middle Schools:
Can choose any or all of the followings: "Exemplary", "Advanced", or "Proficient" levels;
Grade 7 Math, Grade 8 Reading, Grade 7 Science, and/or Grade 8 Social Studies.
- High Schools:
Can choose any or all of the followings: "Exemplary", "Advanced", or "Proficient" levels;
Grade 10 Math, Grade 11 Reading, Grade 10 Science, and/or Grade 11 Social Studies.
With the Customized Ranking, you can choose any or all of the Counties.

Notes:

Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do
not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.

Schools with fewer than 30 students are not included.

County scores are calculated from the average scores of schools in the county. This may not represent the true test results for the counties since student population varies from school to school.

Science and Social Studies tests were NOT administered in 2004.
The Science Social Studies scores from 2003 are used in lieu of the 2004 scores.
