Georgia School Rankings

Georgia Public K-12 School Rankings are based on data from the Georgia Public Education Report Card provided by Georgia Department of Education. There are two sets of rankings:

  • Standard Rankings:

      Kids
    • Elementary Schools: Percentages of students Exceeding Standards in Grades 3 and 4 Reading, English Language Arts (ELA), and Mathematics. Results are based on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCTs)
    • Middle Schools: Percentages of students Exceeding Standards in Grades 7 and 8 Reading, English Language Arts (ELA), and Mathematics. Results are based on the Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCTs)
    • High Schools: Percentages of 11th Grade students passing all four parts of the Georgia High School Graduation Tests (GHSGT) in ELA Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

You have the option of (i) Ranking all schools in the State of Georgia (choose "All Counties" in the toolbar to the left), (ii) Comparing individual counties (choose "County Vs. County"), and (iii) Comparing all schools in a given county (choose, for example, "Fulton" County). To view FREE public school rankings from a prior year, simply click on the "Rank" button on the toolbar to the left. The most recent rankings are available for subscribers only. Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term). Sign up here.

Notes:
  • Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.
  • First and Second graders are not tested in the Science and Social Studies parts of the CRCTs.
  • The list of counties includes Atlanta and 20 other cities in Georgia that have their own separate school systems.
  • Results for 2001 and prior years do not include scores for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th grades.
  • The Georgia Department of Education does not provide consistent results for 2001 6th Grade Reading Scores. 2001 6th Grade Reading Scores here may not be reliable.
