Alabama School Rankings

Alabama Public K-12 School Rankings are based on data from the School Report Cards provided by Alabama Department of Education. There are two sets of rankings:

  • Standard Rankings:

You have the option of (i) Ranking all schools in the State of Alabama (choose "All Systems" in the toolbar to the left), (ii) Comparing individual Systems (choose "System Vs. System"), and (iii) Comparing all schools in a given system (choose, for example, "Jefferson County" System). To view FREE public school rankings from a prior year, simply click on the "Rank" button on the toolbar to the left. The most recent rankings are available for subscribers only. Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term). Sign up here.

  • Customized Rankings (Subscribers Only) are based on the following:

With the Customized Ranking, you can choose any or all of the systems. Subscription fee is $8.33/month (1-year term). Sign up here.

Notes:
  • Results presented on this site are for All Students; we do not break down the results for different racial/gender/economic groups.
  • For 2004, system scores are calculated from the average scores of schools in the system. This may not represent the true test results for the systems since student population varies from school to school. For 2005 and later, the system scores were obtained directly from the AL Department of Education.
