Decent School, Sep 08, 2007

Three of my children have graduated from DFHS. There are limited courses available and the chances of you getting into the classes you want are slim. I loved some of my kids' teachers but others were TERRIBLE. The school is also very inaccessible for the handicapped students. The school is also very dirty. Overall the school is decent.

I felt that the school fully prepared me for college. I recently graduated from a top engineering school in the country and started a job. If it were not for the background at DFHS, I would have never been as successful as I have been.

Opportunities Limited, Aug 20, 2005

Opportunities for study are limited at DFHS, due to its emphasis on test scores. Teachers teach to the test. Be aware that many courses listed in the catalog (among them AP Physics and Spanish IV) have never been and will not be offered. Dual enrollment is also near impossible, as the school prefers to keep students in AP courses, even when a student has taken most AP courses offered. At this school, scores matter, not students.
