As parents, our experience with this school has been extremely negative. Our 6th grader has a high IQ, but also has learning disabilities, which the school has refused to address, except in a punitive fashion. We asked for help many times and they have refused to respond. When they finally did respond to us after many communications by us, they responded punitively.

Our son has never failed a class before entering Grover Middle School. His enthusiasm for learning has been extinguished. The atmosphere is Darwinian. Bullying is not under control. NO CONSIDERATION is given to students' individual learning differences. Punitive measures, rather than modalities which encourage and positivly re-enforce students are POLICY.

The school is only interested in it's academically advanced students. There is not an "even" playing field encompassing the best interests of all students. The student population is HUGE. The atmosphere is cold and "institutional",as opposed to safe and pleasant. I would liken the atmosphere to that of a prison

My child's confidence has been DESTROYED. He no longer enjoys school, but rather DREADS it. AVOID at all costs if your child is not a learner in an advanced placement program!
