| Daviess County schools are sub-par. Don't send your children to this school district. After moving to this town from another district, my child re-read, re-heard, re-learned everything they had already done in the previous year at another school. There aren't many options in this town and we will be very happy to leave as soon as possible. Luckily, my child has moved out of state for college and will not be returning to this town for any great length of time. Do not expect your children to prosper, grow, or learn beyond what this small town has to offer. They do not embrace other cultures, don't welcome "outsiders," and fail (miserably) to keep up with academic standards of other states and cities (even in Kentucky). Daviess County High School is ranked lower than Apollo, but as far as we're concerned, they are equally inefficient. Generally, we feel their administration needs to be redone with a different group of people who have lived outside of this area. |
